マダコの卵は海藤花と呼ばれる美しい花のようなかたまり。タコの赤ちゃんはそろそろ孵化しそう。死んだイルカを深海カニが食べていて、人魚は死骸に海の花を植えているところ。海の中の「生と死」と「食物連鎖」を、浮遊する刺繍を使って幻想的に描きました。
「浮遊する刺繍」と名付けた、モチーフが影と共に浮いてみえる技法を使用し海の中、海の生き物を描いています。薄い絹に刺繍したものを重ねることにより奥行きがうまれ、幻想的でぼんやりとした水中を表現しています。
＊UVカットのアクリルを使用していますが、直射日光を避けてご鑑賞ください。銀箔には変色防止を施しておりません。経年による変色と共に変わっていく作品の見え方をお楽しみください。

Octopus eggs form beautiful clusters, often called kaitoge, resembling delicate flowers. The baby octopuses are about to hatch. Deep-sea crabs feed on a deceased dolphin, while a mermaid plants “sea flowers” upon the carcass. Using floating embroidery, Ayaito Marron has fantastically depicted the “life and death” and the food chain of the ocean.
In this work, Ayaito Marron uses a technique she calls floating embroidery, where motifs appear to hover along with their shadows. By layering embroidery on thin silk, she creates depth and evokes the dreamlike, hazy underwater world.
UV-protective acrylic has been used, but please avoid direct sunlight while viewing. The silver leaf has not been treated against discoloration; please enjoy how the appearance of the work changes over time with natural aging.
