深海と宇宙を掛け合わせた、どちらともつかない神秘的な空間を表現。
銀箔を用いた日本画の技法「箔焼き」によって生まれた偶然の色彩が、海とも宇宙ともつかぬ深淵を描き出します。
加熱温度により変化する銀箔が、深海にも宇宙にも見える幻想的な世界を生み出し、その中を悠然と泳ぐ鯨は、時空を超える命の象徴のようにも映ります。
銀箔は酸化によって変容し、偶然に生まれる色彩が、宇宙の爆ぜる星々や深海に揺れる光の粒のような風景を描き出します。

使用している銀箔は、時間とともに酸化し、色彩が変化する性質を持っています。
本作には酸化防止の処置を施していますが、それでも長い年月の中で、わずかな変化が生まれる可能性があります。
その変化もまた、作品の一部としてお楽しみいただければ幸いです。

A mysterious space that combines the deep sea and the universe.
The accidental colors created by the Japanese painting technique "Hakuyaki" using silver leaf depict an abyss that is neither the sea nor the universe.
The silver leaf changes depending on the heating temperature, creating a fantastic world that looks like the deep sea or the universe, and the whale swimming leisurely through it seems to be a symbol of life that transcends time and space.
The silver leaf changes due to oxidation, and the colors that are created by chance depict a landscape like the stars exploding in the universe and the particles of light swaying in the deep sea.　(Mizuho Eijima)

The silver leaf used has the property of oxidizing over time and changing color.
This work has been treated to prevent oxidation, but even so, slight changes may occur over the long term.
